Hosteria Los Notros

The Hosteria Los Notros is an exclusive lodge that enjoys the uniqueness of being the only hotel facing The Perito Moreno Glacier, probably Patagonia's most spectacular natural attraction. The hotel is also inside The Glacier National Park and enjoys a great deal of privacy with no other lodgings inside the park.

The interior of the hotel is warm and welcoming with large windows that all seem to offer outstanding vistas of the glacier and surrounding mountains. The delicious restaurant, comfortable living room and every single one of the 32 bedrooms are also blessed by the unbeatable view. Service is top notch and the restaurant serves delicious cuisine in style.

A stay at Los Notros includes all meals, excursions inside the national park, and transfers to and from most nearby destinations.

The hotel is located about one and a half hours from El Calafate and an hour and forty five minutes away from the Calafate Airport.

	Perito Moreno Glacier Excursions:
	Footpaths	2 hours	Low*	After a few minutes drive to the observatory in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier, the passages walk on 7 different balconies overlooking the Perito Moreno Glacier. The balconies are all connected by stepped paths.
	Glacier Minitrekking	4.5 to 5.5 hours	Medium*	After a short cruise across the Brazo Rico, there is a brief promenade through the forest and then you arrive to the edge of the Glacier. Your guides put special bottoms on your shoes and the groups goes on a safe glacier trek for about an hour and a half. Afterwards, you return to the shelter to lunch on the "viands" given by the Hosteria, and finally take a return cruise back passing very close to the Southern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier to observe the glacier further.
	Nautical Safari	1.5 hours	Low*	This excursion is a nice catamaran cruise to the Perito Moreno Glacier. The navigation concentrates on the Southern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, where you appreciate the height of the ice and frequency of it breaking and falling into the water below.
	Hiking Excursions:
	Arroya Correntoso to Bahia Excondida	5 hours	Medium*	A few hundred yards from The Hosteria Los Notros begins a excellent hiking path. After 15 minutes of walking the path gets narrower and the vegetation beautifully alternates between lengas woods and shrubs of notros and calafate berries. The path continues on and leads you to vistas of Brazo Rico and Brazo Sur, Bahia Escondida, Roca Lake and The Perito Moreno Glacier. A walk down the coast of a lake brings you back to the Hosteria.
	The Costal Path	2.5 hours	Medium*	Walk along a rocky paths that runs along the Canal de los Tempanos, going up the coast and crossing the forest. You stop by different viewpoints that give you glimpses of the north wall of the glacier and its dominance of the peninsula.
	Other Excursions and Activities:
	"La Usina" A Day Outdoors	12 hours	Low*	"La Usina" is a new excursion that will allows you to choose your preferred activities such as horseback riding, 4 x 4 voyages, mountain biking, trekking, or rafting. A Patagonic Lamb lunch is served in the middle of the excursions and snack are available throughout. Horseback Riding: Difficulty 1, 2 hour ride along the Mitre River. Horseback Riding: Difficulty 2, 3 hour ride to the Condorera and the Cascada. 4 x 4 Voyages, Two hour journey from old woodmen's path and ascension to the balcony of La Manga. Mountain Biking: Difficulty 1, simple path of 1 hour, 1 hour break. Mountain Biking: Difficulty 2, a more difficult path of 2 hours, 1/2 hour break. Trekking: Difficulty 1, simple 2 hour walk along the Mitre River Trekking: Difficulty 2, simple hour walk to the Condorera and the Cascada. Rafting: For 1 to 2 hours for 6 to 8 people, from "La Usina" to the Puente del Rio Mitre.
	Off-road Drive	6 hours	Low*	On Land Rover vehicles you drive through virgin paths towards the Patagonian fields. You then visit The Moreno Peninsula, located between The Brazo Rico of the Argentino Lake and the Roca Lake. Qualified guides allow you to experience the birds and flora of the region and you lunch in the open air.
	Tea in the Clouds	2 hours	Low*	A short ride in our SUV vehicle brings you to a natural balcony with vistas over the Perito Moreno Glacier, the Brazo Rico and the Andean forest. Enjoy afternoon tea with the phenomenal view just below you.
